No experience needed

This training is open to all levels, from complete beginners to experienced teachers and space holders.

Holistic Breath Academy07
The faculty collective

Learn from a collective, not a single voice.

Bianca leads the training. Alongside her, guest faculty teach some of the weekly live lessons and many of the pre-recorded lectures: educators in yoga, neuroscience, sound, movement, and leadership. Faculty rotate over time. These are some of the educators who have taught in the training.

How faculty teaching works: recorded guest lectures sit in your library next to the modules they support, and guest faculty also join the weekly live lessons, so every group learns from the whole collective.

01

Introduction to Breathwork

The history and evolution of breathwork, from ancient yogic, Taoist and meditative practices to modern methods. Honoring the traditions: respect, attribution, and the difference between integration and appropriation. Core principles of safe practice.

In the tideWhy the Tidal Method starts in Still Water: safety, stability and gradual awakening come before any release.
02

The Foundations of Breath

Anatomy of breath: lungs, diaphragm and nervous system. The science of breath: CO₂ and O₂, heart rate variability, vagal tone, and the balance between sympathetic and parasympathetic states. Life force: prana and chi.

In the tideThe physiology behind each wave: down-regulating in Still Water, activating in Crashing Waves, rebalancing in Reflection.
03

The Energy Body and Awareness

Present-moment awareness through breath, sensation and stillness. The subtle anatomy of chakras, nadis and meridians, and how imbalance shows up physically, mentally and emotionally.

In the tideLearning to track sensation and energy so you can read where someone is in the wave, and when they’re ready for the next.
04

The Five Elements

Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether in the body: how each element expresses through the breath, and specific practices to restore balance.

In the tideEarth and Water ground Still Water, Fire and Air fuel Crashing Waves, Ether opens Reflection.

Part II · Techniques & methods
05

Ancient Breath Systems

The traditions that shaped today’s holistic practices: natural and Zen breathing, pranayama, kriya, Taoist and qi-based breathing, Buddhist breath awareness, Tibetan Tummo, and Sufi and devotional breathing.

In the tideMapping each tradition to a wave: which practices calm, which ones build and clear, and which ones deepen stillness and insight.
06

Modern Breathwork Methods

Contemporary methods that merge ancient wisdom with psychology and somatics: three-part breath, circular connected breathwork, Clarity Breathwork, Rebirthing, Transformational Breath and Holotropic Breathwork. Principles, techniques and physiology.

In the tideWhere connected and activating methods belong in Crashing Waves, and how to dose them safely for every body.
07

Common Breathwork Experiences

The physical, emotional and energetic responses that can arise, from tingling and temperature shifts to tears and bliss states, and how to self-regulate, integrate and stay safe.

In the tideWhat tends to surface in each wave, and how to bring someone back to Still Water when it’s too much.
Part III · Leading a session
08

Stages of a Breathwork Session

The full arc of a journey: preparation, activation, release, integration and closure, and how each stage mirrors natural energetic cycles.

In the tideThe heart of the Tidal Method: structuring a complete session across all three waves, with check-ins between each.
Curriculum11
Part III · Leading a session (continued)
09

Music and Sound in Breathwork

How rhythm, tone and vibration shape the body and mind, and how to choose music deliberately so it guides emotion, deepens focus and supports rather than disrupts.

In the tideBuilding playlists that follow the tide: soft and steady, then building, then settling into ocean drum and gong.
10

Enhancing the In-Person Experience

How space, light, scent and sensory design support nervous system regulation, breath depth and emotional openness.

In the tideDesigning a room that feels safe enough for Still Water and contained enough for Crashing Waves.
11

Integration & Embodiment

Turning insight into lived change through grounding, reflective journaling, gentle somatic release and creative processing.

In the tideReflection in practice: how to help what was released actually land in the body and in daily life.
Part IV · Holding space
12

Energetic Presence, Boundaries & Support

Staying rooted and receptive while working with subtle energy, and using touch and voice with consent-first, trauma-aware care.

In the tideYour own Still Water as a facilitator: staying regulated so you can hold others through their waves.
Curriculum12
Part IV · Holding space (continued)
13

Emotional Landscapes & Safe Containers

Meeting intensity without being overwhelmed: how release unfolds, how to pace a session, and how to create environments built on agency, steadiness and trust.

In the tidePacing Crashing Waves in small doses, and always offering a way back to calm.
14

Breath-Led Communication

Attuned listening, clear cueing and empathetic timing, so your words regulate rather than escalate a nervous system.

In the tideHow your voice and cues change from wave to wave: slow and steady, then encouraging, then quiet.
15

Trauma Literacy & Inner Hygiene

How trauma patterns live in the body and how breath can regulate or surface material, paired with your own inner work: projection, transference and countertransference.

In the tideRecognizing when someone is overwhelmed or shut down in any wave, and adjusting in real time.
16

Presence, Completion & Continuity

Effortless awareness as a baseline state. Closing arcs with integration rituals and community reflection, and mapping your next steps beyond the course.

A note from Bianca

Hi, I’m Bianca.

For years, I lived in survival mode. Breathwork didn’t just change that, it helped me reclaim my body, my voice, and my purpose. What I found went beyond healing. It was a homecoming.

I built Holistic Breath Academy to help others do the same, and to train teachers who lead from presence instead of performance. Here, we don’t chase perfection. We unlearn what keeps us small, rebuild trust in our intuition, and learn to guide with truth and embodiment.

I’ve shared this work with thousands of people around the world. But what matters most isn’t the spotlight. It’s the quiet transformation that happens when someone reconnects with their own breath.

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t fit the wellness mold, too creative, too sensitive, too real, you belong here.

This work is powerful. You are powerful. Let’s see what your breath reveals.
